Sony Computer Entertainment Australia announced details of its new PS3 model that will launch throughout Australia on 11th October 2007 at the price of RRP AU$699.95. So what do you get for your money exactly?
The new model features two USB 2.0 ports rather than four and no longer includes the multi memory card port. Further this model no longer supports backwards compatible with PlayStation 2 titles. The new PS3 SKU is equipped with a 40GB HDD.
Looks like the console landscape is heating up, with Christmas around the corner it would seem that the console manufacturers are trying to release hardware configurations at the right price point to try and cash in on Christmas. With all three platforms out this Christmas and cemented in the market place, marketing will probably be prominent.
