Console Prices, Relatively Speaking
Over at Curmudgeon Gamer, user 'jvm' has created a graph which compares the prices of consoles at release since 1976. The results are very interesting, particularly when inflation is brought in to account.
We're able to see that although the Playstation 3 is the most expensive console since the 3DO in 1993, it's far from the most expensive console ever to hit the market. We can also see that if the Wii retails for anything less than $225USD (which is looking like a possiblity), it will be the cheapest console ever released.
